Remember your not your thoughts.


Yes thoughts and especially feels feelings can feel very powerful.

Buty they arn not always accurate and can be infact based on false evidence .

People who catastrophize do so based on their past experinces. Not on current information . They are experiencing anxiety without propper rasons or evidence.

How to change this unhelpful programe.
Any habit is changed by first identifying it. eg Catastrophizing , over personalising , ruminating .
Then gently challenging your thoughts or feelings.
Bring them to court . Whats the evidence to support them . Are they just based on my past.
Think to yourself Im not my thoughts. Now using your more logical mind think what is more likely the outcome. What is a more usefulway to think or feel .
Over time to will get better at this. You will start to see your own dsyfunctional ways or thinking & feeling. And like any process there will be success and failure along the way . Its all part of your journey.
